The Case for Grounding

Have you ever heard of grounding or earthing? I hadn’t—at least not until recently—but now I’m a believer.
Most of you know I’ve had two knee replacement surgeries and have been dealing with arthritis for years. A pain-free day? I honestly can’t remember the last time I had one—until now.A few weeks ago, I spent some time at the beach, walking barefoot two or three miles a day. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but a couple of days after I got back, something remarkable happened—I woke up with no pain. The whole day passed before it slowly started creeping back. That got me curious. Then I stumbled across a documentary about grounding (or earthing, as some call it). The idea is simple: spending time with your bare feet on the earth can have real health benefits. Sound crazy? Maybe. But I figured, why not give it a try?So for the past few days, I’ve been spending just 15 minutes a day barefoot on the grass. And today, after playing in a pickleball tournament all day long, I can tell you this—I felt better than I have in at least two years. No pain. Zero. Not in my knees, my hands, my feet—nowhere. Was it the grounding? I can’t say for sure. But it’s the only thing I’ve done differently, and the results speak for themselves. There might be something to this.
Best regards,
